Plumbing System Elements
For the plumbing system elements, only sinks and toilets were used for the different restrooms at the exhibition center. These were allocated first in the architectural model and accommodated against the "false" walls where the piping system would be allocated vertically. These walls had a separation between each other of 1".
- Water Closet Flush Tank.
- Sink Worl 20”x18”.
Piping Systems
The piping system designed for the exhibition space used the same characteristics explained in Modules 10's videos and was utilized around the building area with the vertical pipes located in a mechanical room behind the elevator walls. The toilets were also separated from the rest of the restroom with walls and doors to allow privacy and with sinks located in front of them as we normally see them in this type of building
- Domestic hot water 1” pipes
- Domestic cold water 1” pipes
- Sanitary 4” pipes with 1/4” per 12” slope
Plumbing System Challenges and Solutions
The biggest plumbing challenges came from the location of the restrooms in distance with the central vertical pipes and the location of sinks in different walls than the toilets. To solve this, different piping lines for hot, cold, and sanitary water were located to supply the restrooms correctly.
