Designing and modeling the plumbing systems was fairly straightforward. The fact that I had the bathrooms on each floor be back to back, and then stacked the bathrooms on top of each other made everything significantly easier.

I installed four toilets and two sinks in the ladies’ rooms, and three toilets, a urinal, and two sinks in the men’s rooms. These fixtures fit nicely in the bathrooms, and I believe they should be able to serve all the visitors. I also included two drinking fountains in the outside hallway in between the two bathrooms, which fit quite nicely. I ran risers for sanitary, hot water, and cold water on one side of the bathrooms, just behind the drinking fountains. I followed the instructions provided on Canvas for connecting all the fixtures to the piping, and I did not run into any significant problems.

One small issue involved the relationship between the urinal and the corresponding toilet in the opposite bathroom. Because the urinal has a 2” sanitary connection, and the toilet has a 4” sanitary connection, I had trouble connecting them both to the main sanitary line. Therefore, I needed to offset the urinal slightly and create its own individual connection to the main sanitary line, but this was an easy fix.
