Hi everyone! I’m a second-year MS student in SEG. I got my BS in CEE from the University of Washington in Seattle, and grew up in the Seattle area. I have three summers of internship experience at Boeing, and three internships in structural engineering in new building construction. I became interested in learning more about BIM after seeing it used in my first structural engineering internship. This last summer, I worked at an integrated firm where we frequently needed to make adjustments in Revit between the architectural and structural models. The models for these buildings were extremely complex, and I want to have more confidence in my ability to build and modify them.
