Goal 1: Reduce Energy Use

  • Measure: Energy Use Intensity (EUI)
  • Targets:
    • Minimum: 60% Reduction from Baseline EUI
    • Desired: 90%+ Reduction from Baseline EUI
  • Strategies:
    • Daylighting to reduce need for artificial lights
    • Smart occupancy sensors
    • Incorporating energy-efficient appliances
    • Implenting solar panels and optimizing the building orientation
    • Passive heating/cooling

Goal 2: Reduce Indoor Water Consumption

  • Measure: LEED WE Credit for Indoor Water Use Reduction
  • Targets:
    • Minimum: 35% Reduction from baseline (3 credits)
    • Desired: 50% Reduction from baseline (6 Credits)
  • Strategies:
    • Low flow plumbing fixtures
    • Water recycling system
    • Rainwater catch system

Goal 3: Incorporate Green Space

  • Measure: Green Area Ratio (GAR)
    • Minimum: 50%
    • Desired: 80%
  • Strategies:
    • Implement a green roof
    • Add plantings indoors and/or in courtyards
