Hi everyone, my name is Mariela Santelices and I am a sophomore from Jackson, Wyoming studying Architecture with a possible minor in Art Practice. I did an internship with an architecture firm called GYDE in high school, and an architecture-focused internship at a construction firm last year. I am interested in this course primarily because I want to get better at using Autodesk and the other tools that we learned in 120A, and I’m excited to discover more of the incredible features of these pieces of software! I’m also really excited about the opportunity to design a sustainable exhibition space, and about the prospect of being able to focus on some of the smaller details of the design since we are going to be working on one design for the entire quarter. My goal for this course is to challenge myself to think outside of the box about the form and spaces of my project.
