The main obstacle I had was correctly copying the pipes and fixtures to other levels. The pipes and fixtures would copy, but they would not be connected. I wound up having to delete all of the fixtures on the second level and reconnecting the pipes manually. I am not sure if I was doing it incorrectly, but the fixtures when copied would just be floating there and detached from all of the pipes.
