The best exhibition that I’ve ever been to was an art museum in Germany called the Hamburger Bahnhof. I was studying in Berlin in high school when we went to that museum for several hours. I normally tend to dislike museums and find them pretty boring, but that one was different. There were vibrant colors, textures, sounds, and each of the exhibits was interactive and made you not only think, but feel. The architecture of the building that it was in only exacerbated those feelings, as it was intricate and complex, sort of like a maze. While inside, I had no sense of where I was; all I knew was the art around me. Another museum we went to in Germany was the Berlinische Galerie. Even the outside of the museum was pure art. Inside, in contrast to the Bahnhof, it was one large open space (with a few semi-private places). Instead of going through the museum being the experience, the Berlinische Galerie allowed the art to speak for itself. Here are some pictures from those days:
