Thought process:
- First floor is mostly public space, second floor is more private (all offices are there) with some exhibition spaces as well
- Café, kitchen, and storage should be near each other, and also have access to the patio for additional seating area
- Atrium has a central place in the building to provide lighting and easy access to courtyard from all sides of the building
- Offices are facing south mostly to make use of passive heating
- Mechanical rooms, elevators, and restrooms are located in the same position on both floors to make vertical design more easy to build
- Exhibition spaces on the 2nd floor will be connected to create one well-rounded experience
- Open office spaces will make use of nice views of the lake
- Entrance to the building is facing west, in the direction people will be coming from the parking
- Second floor should be quieter which is good since there are many offices there
- Nice view of the lake from the patio (possibly move kid zone outside)
