My name is Sam Garcia. I am a first year MS student in Sustainable Design and Construction. I completed my undergraduate studies in International Relations here at Stanford.
After finishing undergrad, I worked for a year as a Schneider Fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council in Chicago. Shortly thereafter I joined Rivian Automotive’s Energy + Charging team. This past fall I shifted to part-time status at Rivian to pursue my MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering. My primary focus area at Rivian is the development and deployment of onsite renewable energy systems.
I’m interested in this class because I would like to learn more about the holistic process for conceptualizing and designing buildings while developing my Revit modeling skills.
Outside of school and work I’m interested in US presidential and intelligence history, music, and bikes.
