The first thing I thought of when it comes to the body is the heart. The heart plays a critical role in sending blood and oxygen to every cell in our body, making it one of the most important aspects of ones anatomy. The heart holds a greater symbol though of the center of something, the place where life revolves around. When I think of buildings, I feel like every building needs a heart of its own, somewhere that promotes life and well-being, and holds the essence of the building in one place. In a home this may be the living room or kitchen, in a basketball arena the home is the court, which stands in the middle.

Another crucial aspect to life is our veins, which are connected to the heart and again allow the flow of life to reach every piece of our anatomy. When I think of the veins of a building I think of the electrical system, plumbing, and air conditioning/heat, which run very similar to veins throughout the entire building.
