Analogy 1: Rainwater harvesting systems - Body Efficiency
Comparing how a human body is able to utilize resources in a really efficient way, by introducing a rainwater system, you can actually mitigate water runoff, which disrupts the water cycle, while capturing this water we can maximize the use of it throughout several activities in our house. I had the privilege of working with TECHO Mexico, being part of the design and implementation of this systems in affordable housing in rural communities.

Analogy 2: In a sustainable home ecosystem, human waste is treated similarly to how organic materials decompose in a forest. Just as trees and plants in a forest shed leaves and eventually die, humans generate waste that can be repurposed. When human waste is properly composted in a controlled system, it undergoes a natural decomposition process, creating nutrient-rich compost. This compost can then be used to nourish and grow sustainable food crops, creating a closed-loop system where resources are continually recycled and regenerated.
