An analogy to relate buildings to human bodies that I have seen a couple times is human spines. Spines are what allow humans to stand, and similarly the building’s structural system is what allows it to stand as well. Specifically for high rise buildings, if a concrete shear wall core (or any core system) is used its very similar, with the main support of the structure coming from a central system.

Other analogies include the respiratory system with HVAC systems or the nervous system with electrical systems.
