Module 9 - HVAC Systems
The pictures above are HVAC loads report and space diagram of 2 floors. After calculating the typical HVAC loads, I found the ventilation should be connected in every room. Therefore, I designed HVAC layout as shown below.
Since the floor plans of 1st floor and 2nd floor is largely different, the HVAC layouts in 2 ceilings are also disparate from each other. The different floor plans and large atrium front is the biggest challenge I had.
In both floors, the middle atrium space is the largest space area, where I also put most diffusers in order to ensure the ventilation and temperature of that large enclosed area.For the other small rooms, I typically assigned just 1 diffuser usually supply one in.
