Location of my museum: Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve. The preserve doesn’t have adjacent buildings nearby. My overall goal for my project is for the building to fit into the surrounding environment as much as possible and not cause disruption. I am hoping to build the museum somewhat close to the lake for sustainability and view purposes (cooling system and wind powered electricity).
I hope to incorporate lots of light (curtain walls) and also connect the outside with the inside. Thus, maybe two masses will be better (one solid form and one void form running through the middle of the building for light and and outside area).
In terms of my modeling, I created two models- a more modern look (v shaped building) and one circular building. For the building insight, the circular building is more energy efficient all around.
