Module 4 - Conceptual Design - Building Context & Passive Design
To begin exploring my preliminary design, I created a quick mass model and topography. I'd like to create a structure partially incorporated into a hillside to reduce cooling costs, as well as take advantage of the hillside to create a walk-out green roof or landscaping area. I used Revit's sun path feature to orient the longer sides of my preliminary structure towards the south, allowing more space for south-facing windows to make the structure more energy-efficient.
