Module 1 - Design Inspirations & Big Feature Ideas
I'm interested in creating a space that directly reflects the sustainability needs of coastal communities. I've spent a lot of my life at relatively cold northern California beaches and want to create a space that fits that coastal climate.
As such, grey wood shingles and stone exterior fit the often gloomy landscape, but large curtain wall system and light wood and concrete interiors should bring in warmth regardless of season.
There would also be a large outdoor garden with interactive exhibits, and an upper floor devoted to administration and private showcases. The bottom floor would be designed with one main direction of travel.
