Design Goal #1: Design a sustainable certified building.

  • Measure:
    • 20% energy savings on EDGE app.
    • 20% water savings on EDGE app.
    • 20% less embodied energy in materials on EDGE app.
  • Targets:
  • Strategies:
    • Implement LED lightning with timers and motion sensors.
    • Implement Solar Panels.
    • Use FSC Wood.
    • Manage ain, black and gray water.

Design Goal #2: Design a mass timber building

  • Measure:
    • 100% of columns and beams have to be Glulams.
    • 100% of walls have to be Timber Frame or CLT.
    • 100% of floor slabs have to be LVL or CLT.
  • Targets:
    • Design the building with Ecuadorian wood species.
  • Strategies:
    • Besides foundation and probably elevator and emergency stairs core. All the structure and walls and floor slabs would be made of mass timber.
    • Identify providers of mass timber products and see if they have shared Revit families content.
    • Identify providers of mass timber connectors and accessories and see if they have shared Revit families content.

Design Goal #3: Design a building that encourage well being and healthy behaviors.

  • Measure:
    • 30% off all parking spaces dedicated to low consuming cars.
    • 5% off al parking spaces dedicated to electric cars.
    • 100 bicycles parking spaces.
    • Minimum 50% of the facade area made of curtain wall.
    • Paper, plastic and glass recycle disposals in 100% of waste dedicated points.
  • Targets:
    • Promote users to harness sustainable transport.
    • Promote users to don't turn on artificial light if they don't need to.
    • Promote recycling.
  • Strategies:
    • Implement color coding to classified waste.
    • Implement movement and presence sensors for artificial lightning.
    • Implement benefits to people that uses bicycles like free lockers.
    • Implement charging stations for electric cars.
