Here are glimpses of the structuring that will be running through my model. I chose to work with a steel framing structure in order to contain a modern view to the building structure. My strategy is to keep bits of the structuring exposed to give an almost industrial sensation to the design, as it serves as a solid contrast to the normal work flow and research that might be done and conducted at this site. I wanted to incorporate exposed beams, but struggled with finding a way to include columns that flowed with the design and also were present without blocking some of the curtain wall features. In my next iteration and flow of work, I plan on finding a solution to this, as well as expanding the design to a much larger scale, in order to incorporate a larger structural model that still flows in a pseudo-similar manner to the current one.
