Structural Framing System Remarks and Setbacks
Strategic Focus:
I struggled initially with developing a cohesive structural system that would function in a logical way seeing as I have studied Structural Analysis and don't want to design the imaginable. I have a severely slope over hang on the North Face of the Building:
I initially assumed that the slope would be sufficient enough to cantilever out from each respective floor; however being that I am pushing four floors, I saw that the cantilever would reach nearly 20+ feet at the top relative to the bottom floor. That surely is unfeasible. From my Check In Meeting, I was able to find a nice compromise by having EXTERIOR columns on the north facade to support the edge of the floors from the Third Floor.
