• Not completely building related but it is interesting how similar transportation networks (subways, walking paths, roads, etc.) are in appearance to how fungi grow (we looked at this phenomenon in Nick Ouellete's physics of cities class literal years ago at this point) This would apply to how people move between buildings especially in an urban area or in a campus/complex
• HVAC systems responses are similar to internal temperature regulation feedback loops and the building shell makeup would be like the clothes you have on your body. You can't control the outside temperature, but you can make it harder or easier for your internal regulation to keep up.
• generally, humans and buildings should have a symbiotic relationship even though that term is used for two living objects
