For my design, I decided to go with the steel frame beam system to minimize the number of beams being used. I structured the beams and beam systems to be as close to the interior walls as possible so that they were hidden. However, when I copied my beam system to the second floor, I didn’t realize the whole floor was an open space, so there are some structural columns that are placed in the middle of the room. On the first floor, I have columns surrounding the stairs and atrium, but I made sure to exclude a beam system from this area; so the floor opening is not covered. Lastly, for my project, I need to make sure my beam systems have an offset so that they are not visible from the ceiling.
