I decided to go with a wood structure because I thought it would go well with the design of the architectural model. However, it made it slightly trickier because of the length constraint on the beams.

I first designed my grid to have columns aligned with the exterior facade.

I adjusted interior gridlines to follow the boundaries of the two stairways, to make sure no column or beam would conflict with the stairs.

As much as possible, I tried to align structural columns with interior partition walls, but because of the 25' constraint, it was not always possible. Some structural columns are still in the middle of some rooms. I think it is not a huge problem and is rather part of the aesthetics of the building.

For some reason, my structural column want to be offset from the ground. Something I am problem-solving right now.
