Modeling Approach

Following the steps outlined in the assignment, I began by creating a grid for the bottom points of the cylinder and then creating a grid for the top points of the cylinder. I then created the location of the point where I would be dropping my pebble into the pond.

The more challenging portion of the assignment was creating the cylinder, finding the distance between cylinders, and adding the diminishing effect. To create the cylinder, I used the points from the bottom grid as the starting point. For the end points, I first found the distance between cylinders and applied a sine wave then I applied a formula to take into account the diminishing ripples. This information was then fed into the z-value for the top grid to create the rippling effect.

To wrap everything up, I created the Revit elements so that the dynamo geometry was reflected in the final Revit document.
