This model allows the user to create a grid with a size and spacing of their liking (using simple-to-use sliders). This grid is then used to establish the center points for the creation of cylinders, whose radius can also be easily modified by the modeler. The modeler establishes three locations where they want pebbles to be dropped and the model computes the height of each cylinder based on its distance from each pebble and takes into account compounding effects of the ripples caused by each of the three pebbles. The modeler can also easily modify the properties of the waves (frequency, amplitude, etc.) using sliders that are neatly organized in a “Wave Properties” group of modules. The model only requires a few simple modifications if the modeler wishes to include additional pebbles.
