Hi, I’m Gogo and I’m a first-year master’s student within SDC focusing on the management track. I graduated from UTA with a BS in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics. Prior to Covid I returned home to Chicago from Texas and interned with a public works department focusing on reconstruction old and constructing new ROWs. Working on public works project showed me how much of an impact even a simple sidewalk can have on a person.
I hope to learn aspects that are applicable to rapidly-automated generated features for buildings rather than direct singular designs that can increase the design and construction efficiency. I’m interested in learning more about how Parametric Design & Optimiztion is poised to be leveraged in a future that is progressively moving towards automation, especially in the construction industry, and its application possibilities that could be help complex construction projects lighten its schedule and cost with integrations in the design phase for the structures and schedules.
