About Me
Hi classmates, I am Emma, a second year master student in SDC focusing on structures. I am from Hohhot, China, a city 5 hours drive from Beijing. I did my undergraduate at UIUC studying structural engineering. After graduating from college, I went to Shenzhen, China to work as a civil engineer for a year. I came in as a SEG student, another focus under CEE department, and the SDC courses really attracted me, including real estate, management and sustainability. So, I switched, and really love our SDC community.
Outside of classes, I love dancing, focusing on jazz and KPOP, and a little urban. I also love guitar and music. I am a foodie, who love to explore restaurants in the bay area, thus, need to do a lot work out to keep a balance. If you have great places to recommend, we can exchange our ideas of places to go.
Course Expectations and Goals
I took a Revit class in my sophomore year. In 220C, I would first want to refresh on the functions in Revit. I would also want to learn many of the detailed and advances functions that Revit provides to build a well polished structure. Also, I would love to gain some experience building a whole project, and get fluent in using Revit. I am not familiar with parametric design, thus, I am excited to learn about it.
