Approach
I wanted to introduce a little more variety to my models beyond the standard sinusoidal functions. I did this by exploring inserting polynomial equations (with the distance from the attractor point as the variable) into different points of the equation, such that the undulating sine patterns were still visible, but varied in some other dimension. The most interesting variations of this trial and error approach to me were iterations in which I incorporated an equation to the effect of sin((distance^2 / max*100)*period).
