Chween An Beh-Module 6

2 metrics is evaluated in this module. The first is the construction cost based on the floor height in which the ground floor will cost 500 per square feet and linearly increase till the height of 750 ft at the cost of 1000 per square feet. A custom node “Evaluate_Construction_Cost” is created to evaluate the construction cost of the building variation based on the changes on the middle rotation angle of the building.

The second metric evaluated is the insolation value to test the solar potential and also as the indicator for MEP system design. A custom node inspired by the module video and solar analyze node is created and named as “Analyze_SolarInsolation”. The node is taking weather, time study and spacing between points for the analysis. The higher the value, the higher the solar potential and the higher the needs of shading/MEP Cooling.
