Need you’re trying to provide a solution or support for
The image shows a elevated roundabout with several entrance. The rapid urbanization and increasing traffic congestion in modern cities necessitate innovative solutions to enhance road infrastructure and traffic management. One such solution is the construction of elevated roundabouts, which aim to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion at busy intersections. Also, the elevated roundabout can serves as sun shades for the area under the roundabout. The tool aims to analyse the trade off between roundabout geometry, construction cost, and sun shade provided.
Inputs
- Traffic information(circulating flow rates, entry flow rates, delay rates)
- Roundabout Geometry(inner radius, outer radius, entry width, height, entrance number)
- Cost based on height
- Central Area type(Walking Area/ Traffic Area)
- Sun light information
Underlying logic of the model you’ll implement
- Generate an elevated roundabout with equally distributed entrances.
- Compute the total construction cost based on height for the roundabout and support beams.
- Compute the sun shade under the structure.
- Use Generative Design Tool to analyze the optimal geometry of the roundabout for lowest cost, highest capacity, and highest/lowest sun shade provided.
Outputs
- Total cost of construction
- Total sun shade provided
- Distance between conflict points
- Approach angle
