2 or More Units: Rise and Shine:
Part 1
- Modeling Approach: My modeling approach followed the assignment step process pretty closely. I first created the an arc (using the 3 point arc node) and I extruded it in the z-direction. I then paneled the surface based on the length and height of my surface so that each panel could resemble a cube. I read the image file data of a tulip field but no matter how I changed the image orientation it wouldn’t line up perfectly.
- Design Description: Within my design there are options to change:
- Arc Radius
- Arc Height
- Panels correspond with arc length & radius
Part 2
- Modeling Approach: Similar to Part 1, I first created an S-shaped wall using the sine function (I extruded the curve in the z-direction). Then I paneled the surface based on the 4”x8” brick dimensions. I had to decrease the size of my surface considerably to account for the small brick size (my program kept crashing otherwise). Finally, I read the image file data of a road surrounded by trees to get a “birds-eye” view. I thought it went well with the goal of this assignment with the panels extruding in the y-direction (4” to 36” max).
- Design Description: Within my design there are options to change:
- wall length
- wall height
- number of waves
- amplitude of waves
