Easy Breezy
- Overview: This generative design tool is perfect for architects and energy designers who want to get a rough estimate of different building designs that meet the basic minimum natural ventilation of 5% (Window Area/Floor Area). While also accounting for construction cost of the building based on height, floor area, and number of windows.
- Inputs:
- Top Profile Radius
- Bottom Profile Radius
- Tower Height
- Percent Glazed ~ Rough estimate for wall percent glazed (based on curve length) (Optimum proportion of glazing for energy efficiency is 10-30% of wall area. link)
- Constants:
- Level Height
- Sill Height
- Number of Profile Sides (Building Form)
- Window Size
- Window Shape
- Outputs:
- Total Floor Area
- Total Window Area
- Window Area/Floor Area Ratio
- Total Cost of Construction (floor area, height, and number of windows)

Note: I did simplify my tool from its original design. Also, I was not able to get my “windows” to properly align with the building surface (I apologize for that). But the calculations are running smoothly!
