Hongyu Wu - Module 5

For part 1 I chose the round triangular twisted building model and was able to flex the mid rotation angle from 20 to 120 degrees to see its effect on gross floor area and surface area. A key step is to create stories and assigning mass to each floor so that the shapes of building will change along the stories. The dependency of each parameters is kept as default.

For part 2 I used the 2 angle template and use the same dynamo script developed in part one to flex the mid(top) rotation angle of a chevron shaped floor. I tried creating the custom node but failed to do so, therefore I used the same custom node developed from example file.

A key point to ponder is the benefits of exporting the results to an excel file. This is an excellent way of neatly arranging the results to compare with one another, it also updates results each time if the parameters in Revit are changed so it is very convenient.
