Hi everyone! I’m a first year graduate student in the SEM program. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, also focusing on structural engineering. I have pretty good knowledge on Revit and AutoCAD from my undergrad program and internships. Although majoring in civil engineering, I’m really passionate about architecture and the architect that I respect the most is I.M. Pei. In my free time I love to cook, play badminton, and travel whenever there’s a vacation.
I interned at MKA, a design firm based in Seattle, and had seen many cool projects that actually involve parametric design such as The Sphere (an Amazon building). I was really impressed by how structural engineers develop tools using rhino grasshopper that convert the model between Revit and SAP2000 and hope to learn to use this powerful tool! I’m looking forward to learn more and working with you all this quarter!
