After watching the kickoff session, I decide to mimic the shape provided on the workshop slides. For the first step, I begin with the several shapes which define the flow of the surface. For controlling shapes, I use one sin curve at bottom, two circle in middle and one elliptical curve to control the flow of surface of the structure. For parametric resize, the length and width of structure can changed by changing the size of each control shapes. The height of structure can be changed by changing the height of the top elliptical. The curvature of the curve can revised by changing the location of each shape which affect the flow of the surface. The frequency of the bottom wave curve can be changed by the number of multiplier of the curve.
Next, I use sweep function to create longitudinal beams and transverse beams for the structure. I also includes slider for changing the interval between nearby beams.
Finally, I includes slide for changing the number of panels for the whole structure by using the 4 point rectangular panel. Additionally to that, I also include three other triangular panel function for different shapes of three point triangular panels. For the selected rectangular panel, all adjustable parameters for single panels can also be changed by using the slider.
For the whole design, the location of two middle circles and dimensions of all circle can all be changed. Number of panels, beams can also be easily changed by using the slider. For panel characters like angle and thickness of panel can also be changed. The panel system is also available to change between three point panel and four point panel. For the bottom sin curve, the amplitude, frequency and base offset are all available for changing by using the slider.
