Maddie Connelly - Module 2

Walk in the Park

To model my park, I first experimented with point layouts and spacing between the cuboids. I then created the attractor point relationship and established the sin wive effect. I knew I wanted to have a symmetrical wave and a fair number of peaks and valleys to create a variety of interesting furnishing opportunities. In the end, I liked the look of the attractor point nestled in the corner nearest the origin.

Eliminate the Echo

For this assignment, I struggled at first to get the cylinders to appear in Rhino since I kept creating rectangular grids that were too large and thus kept crashing the interface. After I resolved that issue, I had fun experimenting with my sliders to get fun and variable cylinder lengths that may reflect movement and light in interesting ways.

Put on a Happy Facade

For my wall, I first struggled with getting cutouts to appear, but I think I had accidentally broken some of the coding logic connections in Dynamo. I resolved this by retracing myself and following the logic flow carefully. I then played with the number of waves and amplitude and distance to find an interesting pattern that I liked!
