Key Findings from the Interview

  1. What does sustainability mean to you?
    1. To me, sustainability means to be able to be used for a long period of time, for example energy: fossil fuels cannot be used forever, but solar energy can be used forever, this is sustainability.
    2. However, sustainability can also mean using things that are good for the planet to make something else, because it helps the planet sustain its natural environment.
  2. What does the word “eco-consciousness” mean to you?
    1. To me, eco-conciousness means to be aware of the natural eco-systems of Earth and how it is being affected by the action of humans.
  3. Do you think your local community is doing well in being eco-conscious?
    1. Right now in London, I believe the city is doing well with being eco-concious. That is, it has these immensely large parks with just plain green fields and ancient trees. A reason that these trees are so thick and tall is because London has done a great job at preserving them.
      1. Example: Hyde Park
    2. However, London’s alleyways is also extremely disgusting. It is full of grime, and there is trash everywhere, so it really depends on where you go.
  4. If I told you that a space would be created with the aim to increase eco-conciousness would you be willing to support it? Why?
    1. Yes, I think it would be lovely that eco-conciousness would increase, because it is important for people to be aware of how they are affecting their planet.
  5. What would you suggest the space be? Why?
    1. I would suggest an interactive installation where the audience gets to see how not being eco-concious would affect the planet negatively.
