Why am I creating a prototype?

I’m creating a prototype of the energy prospecting platform in order to demonstrate how an app leveraging a powerful data lake can connect homeowners to project resources and recommendations.

The type of feedback that will be most helpful for refining and improving my product idea is:

1. How users perceive the logic of the workflow: inputting data, receiving recommendations, and providing concrete follow ups with local contractors is intuitive
2. How motivated users are to act: After seeing the potential financial incentive for a sample project, how much interest do users have in trying the new technology solution?

Prototype Features

What product features will I prototyping? And why?

• Data collection model - show what kind of information the user would need to input in order to gain customized recommendations
• Recommendation engine - rank projects in terms of how
• Connect with service providers - give users concrete ability to follow up with pros in their area

What do I hope to learn from testing this feature?

• How hesitant are users to input their personalized information into a new online platform?
• How comprehensive do users find the analysis proposed?
• What other information or features would users want in order to proceed with their projects?
