Journal Entry For
Project 1 - Testing Session 1
What did you observe?
What did you observe and note as you watched users interact with your prototypes?
- Other friends would zoom in on my sketches and ask questions about the structure, and I would make notes on areas that needed further structural refinement.
What feedback did your users share after the testing?
What feedback did your users share after they've had a chance to interact with and explore your prototypes?
- Brand name, how will you label it? (Will this container be refillable for all the different branded products that each individual uses?)
- If the plastic is biodegradable, how will you preserve the cosmetics without a chemical reaction?
- Why not just sell the soft part instead of the hard bottle?
o Vinyl type:
- TPE (thermoplastic elastomer): A flexible yet durable material that combines the benefits of elastomers and plastics.
- LDPE (low-density polyethylene): Highly resistant to oxidation or degradation and protects contents
- PET (polyethylene terephthalate): Resists degradation, provides transparency and durability
- PP (polypropylene): Excellent heat and corrosion resistance, prevents deterioration and oxidation
- EVOH (Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol Copolymer): High oxygen barrier to protect contents and extend shelf life
o Environmentally friendly type of vinyl:
- LDPE (low density polyethylene): Recyclable, low energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions in production
- Biodegradable vinyl: A material that can be naturally degraded under certain conditions.
