Key Findings from the Interview
- What does sustainability mean to you?
Sustainability means using your resources in a manner that will ensure that future generations can use them.
- How is energy misused or inefficiently used in your home country/state?
The mayor got rid of recycling in my home town.. the current systems aren’t sustainable. People should drive more electric or use solar power energy. There is an over reliance on gas.
- If a system that uses energy more efficiently/effectively was introduced to your daily life with a ramification of price increase (say, 10-30%) would you embrace it or reject it?
If it was proven to work then sure.. but if it’s experimental I wouldn’t. It needs to be a developed service or system that is widely adopted and accepted as efficient and works.
- Do you have any ideas or opinions on how to improve energy usage in your country/state or as a whole?
Use more solar panels. In Florida it’s so hot- if you harness that solar energy it would be more efficient and sustainable.
(Add on-Would you have solar panels if you could afford them?):
I would have solar panels if I could afford them, and if the technology develops.
