Key Findings from the Interview

  • It has for a long time attempted to ensure that sustainability issues are addressed as a part of every infrastructure project that is financed. Increasingly, this topic has become more relevant and it has been talked about in the international scenario in different levels. Can you tell us more about why sustainable infrastructure is something we should be discussing now?

Ans: The extent to which the resources are extracted and put into manufacturing has overdone the natural limits. Right from the water management to logistics and transportation have overboard the limits. If not done the right way, this could result in altering factors which can harm the natural resources. so we have to carefully articulate and proceed with the infrastructure way of construction

  • To what extent should construction expenditure be optimised?

Ans: To the extent where the company doesn't face any personal losses and in more of a sustainable way where cost cutting shouldn't affect or compromise with the quality as it can hamper the entire process of working

  • What role does technology play in this process?

Ans: Technology is at its highest pace today with AI benefitting every field and sector. Better technology will help in achieving solutions for a sustainable tomorrow.

  • How do I identify which systems are needed to support functions?

Ans: The systems which are increasing net expenses and unusual complications in the work process further affecting the quality of infrastructure work.

  • Which of the following is a necessary condition for sustainable infrastructure development? Increase in the quality of construction material Reduction in the level of pollution conservation of stock of natural capital and funds Reduction of Carbon Footprint and CO2 emissions

Ans: All of these play a crucial role in sustainability but there should be a right capacity in which these factors play a role
