Composite Character attributes: (supposed Athlete “Nick Matthews”)
likes to have steak, staying active, traveling, lives in California, love learning, and doesn’t wear glasses
Needs - Gain and regain energy, healthy diet, and hopes to not rely on caffeine for energy
Reaction to Starbucks’ problem:
- Not much protein or carbo. options (ie. beef, or poultry)
- Too much sweet/sugary drinks
- Wants to have rejuvenating smoothies
- Nick is always sweating from sports exertion, and he hopes that there is AC in the shop after exercising
- He wants a balanced diet.
2) Jocelyn P. (pet owner in her late 20s)
Needs - Jocelyn wishes to be able to feed her puppy and keep it healthy while getting a sufficient yet low-calorie diet herself.
Reaction to Starbucks’ problem:
- Everything contains too much sugar
- Only available option for her pet is whipped cream or water, so she asks, “Is there any other healthy yet fulfilling options?”
- Not all Starbucks have close proximity to a park
- Starbucks is not always pet-friendly.
- Jocelyn thinks that Starbucks is slightly overpriced.
3) Michael F. (disabled: visually-impaired & 7 y/o old)
Needs - He wishes to have simple yet fulfilling meals, while encountering thought-out service for his inability to see or perceive Starbucks’ marketing.
Reaction to Starbucks’ problem:
- Michael’s parents are prone to find Michael a better breakfast/drink option elsewhere because of limited accommodations for the disabled
- Chairs and Tables are not easy to get on or use
- Starbucks beverages usually have an aftertaste that is dry and unfulfilling
- He has no visual sensor of color of the drinks, so some drinks taste weirdly sweet/quirky for him.
- Michael thinks that Starbucks options and service to disabled people is insufficient, therefore, he will not buy anything from Starbucks because not much food/drink choices serve his needs.
