Can you guarantee that the completed building will match the performance predicted by the analysis in its day-to-day operations?

  • Nope! You cannot control occupant behavior nor canyon guarantee absolute control/efficiency of systems in the building.

When choosing settings for each of the building performance factors, should you always choose the setting that gives the absolute lowest predicted energy use?

No, cost, design choice, and feasibility are a few of the reasons why the most energy efficient design may not be selected.

How can you use Insight feedback to make design choices regarding materials, lighting, PV, etc.?

Helps shows us what will lower and drive energy use in the building. For example I could see the window choices and how they would impact EUI from a base level.
