I wanted to create a workspace with plenty of light and space, as well as an area outside. I wanted to create a courtyard in the center, and the buildings are all oriented towards the center of the set of buildings. The two buildings with the large open space in the middle (top left and bottom right in the image) are inspired by the indoor open courtyard in the Louvre, and the other two buildings have a shaft that runs from the top to the bottom floors to connect all of the levels. Both of these choices also allow for a lot of light to reach the interior of the building, along with the sloped glass roof and curtain walls.
