- your flexing and testing one of the provided example building forms
- your flexing and testing your new, original building form
Part 1, for the template provided, I decided to link the mid height to top height, and mid rotation to top rotation, with the golden ratio. This would provide a comfortable aesthetics at all time no matter how the shape change.
- When height =800:
- When height =400:
- And I output the following with different top height:
Top Height | Gross Floor Area | Gross Surface Area |
600 | 329617.0595 | 193423.6354 |
650 | 356941.1128 | 206799.1919 |
700 | 384273.4428 | 220201.6317 |
750 | 411612.4915 | 233624.1073 |
800 | 438958.141 | 247066.3236 |
- For the second part, I used the Twisting tower-3. But then, I insert a diamond shape family, which is use to replace the top and bottom chevron shape of the building. This successfully redefine the building:
Top Height | Gross Floor Area | Gross Surface Area |
600 | 503385.2109 | 295393.0772 |
650 | 545114.0109 | 315819.9852 |
700 | 586855.4509 | 336287.9488 |
750 | 628607.1515 | 356786.5107 |
800 | 670368.9328 | 377315.2203 |
What’s the advantage of exporting the values to Excel? Exporting data to Excel from Dynamo helps analyzing information better and makes it easier to share and organize data for projects.
