Tell us a bit about yourself:
- Your educational background
- I was admitted to the American University in Cairo in 2015 as an undergraduate Mechanical Engineer with a Minor in Business Administration. After I graduated, I was later admitted to the American University of Sharjah in 2022 to prepare a Masters Degree in Engineering Systems Management.
- Any industry experience
- I joined Marsh McLennan’s Marsh DIFC office in September 2021 through the Graduate Development Program and quickly advanced to the role of Risk Analyst in Heavy Industries and Energy practices. My daily tasks involve analyzing Risk Engineering Reports, identifying potential risk exposures, and quantifying these exposures financially. This information is vital for engaging with the Insurance Market to obtain quotes for the necessary insurance programs. Later, utilizing differential pricing, an optimal insurance program is curated for the respective client, all while ensuring that the client receives the best available price for their insurance program. I also take the lead in preparing and initiating roadshows, which are crucial for building relationships between clients and insurance companies.”

As outlined in our public newsletters “It is fundamental to our identity and the way we show up for our clients and the communities we impact. At Marsh McLennan Companies, we have formally integrated environmental, social and governance factors into our decision-making processes since 2008, and believe that transparent and consistent disclosure enables better-informed business and investment decisions.” For these reasons, I believe that being part of the Sustainability Design Thinking course is crucial for my personal development and awareness of how sustainability is being addressed in our modern world.
