I think all elements should be included in the 4D simulation. In order to create the 4D simulation, not only construction tasks and elements in the model need to be connected but also the model should have all elements for all time schedule tasks.

How can the feedback shown in a 4D simulation help you to optimize the project schedule?

  • What are the main benefits of linking model elements to the project schedule?

The main benefit is that the software will automatically link the elements with the activities.

How can designers improve their designs using the information provided by preliminary estimates of the cost of building their design ideas?

Model-based quantity takeoff supports better decision-making for designers. The model can be used as a tool to assess the feasibility of a project in the design stage very easily.
