Modular Handbag System “Shift”

Bag is an essential part of my daily routine. But the frustration lies in the needing of different styles for different activities. A small sling bag won’t cut it for college, where I need to carry my laptop. This constant switching becomes a hassle and also contributes to the unnecessary consumerism as I have to buy a new bag.

How to make it sustainable?

Material: recycled plastics, recycled fishing nets, and organic cotton canvas, recycled leather alternatives

Effortless transformation: “Shift” will allow user friendly magnetic attachment styles allowing to seamlessly swap straps, pockets and compartments easily.

Minimalist packaging: Using the minimal packaging and opting for the recycled or biodegradable materials whenever possible

Carbon Offsetting: Keeping the carbon emissions low during the footprint generated during the production and transportation of the bag.

As a woman, relying on pockets just isn't an option. From childhood, I remember carrying backpacks filled with water bottles and books and snacks like a constant companion for exploration. This need for a reliable carrying solution has only grown with age. But traditional bags often fall short – a tote for work won't fit my gym clothes, and a crossbody bag can't handle my laptop.
