Description
My house is a two-story house which you enter from the car port on the downhill side. The first floor is recessed into the hill, and the second floor which contains only two bedrooms and a bathroom, sits on top. A curtain wall joins the first and second floors, which share a large atrium/dining room space. There's an interior balcony on the second story and a slab-level outdoor space just outside the curtain wall. Two out of three bedrooms have a view of the lake (presumably downhill), through an internal window across the hallway and through an external window. The master bedroom's glass doors provide the view of the outdoors. Given that the storage unit is possibly uninsulated and dirty, it can only be accessed through the outside of the house (via the car port). To align the building's aesthetic with the inspiration images supplied by the client (but to still manage the snowmelt) the roofs are very slightly tilted such that from the lake they appear flat.
