The purpose of the spatial distribution is to support fast, reliable, safe and enjoyable work processes within Laboratories, production and office rooms. The desing priorities are: 1) process safety and quality, 2) speed, 3) pleasant work environment. To fulfill those priorities the design outlines the following key parameters:
1) Safety: industrial wash rooms and elevators on both sides of each level; HVAC on rooftop; water process on first level; sizing of all functional spaces acc. to industrial regulations for biochemical facilities;
2) Speed: direct connection between functional spaces following the process flow (top to bottom for cross-level movement, and left to right for in-floor movement). Direct connection between production spaces using automated doors.
3) pleasant work environment - curtain walls on all sides of the building to allow pleasant views and direct light into the production, lab and office environments as per allowed specifications.
