The TwitBook HQ has two building parts that are connected, one shaped like T, the other shaped like a stack of books, and with the skylights, the “Books” look like B from above.
A lot of curtain walls and curtain systems were added to the sides for light and convenience for a good view. However, the rooftops are covered, because this building is located in Mountain View, and it gets pretty hot in the summer, so we don’t want to waste electricity to cool down the building.
The T building is for administrative work and working out, while the B building can be used as a creative space given the spacious floor area and the more exposed design. The courtyard in the middle can be an ideal place for taking a lunch break.
